The Los Angeles Lakers forward
Jordan Hill was accused of suffocating a family while still a member of the
Rockets, said the district attorney in Houston said in a statement.
Jordan Hill will be presented in Houston
to face charges - a third degree felony for assaulting a family member by
asphyxiation. The incident occurred on February 29.
The District Attorney's office
said Hill faces a sentence of two to 10 years in prison and a fine of $ 10,000.
After completion of the paperwork will be issued an arrest warrant.
Jordan Hill is at present in Los
Angeles, according to source of Ric Bucher, ESPN The Magazine. The Lakers have
a day off in their first playoff series before getting round to Denver on
Tuesday.
Jordan Hill was part of the deal that
sent Derek Fisher at Houston on March 15. The Rockets had left the day of the
incident but not Hill was aligned to the same.
